Other Psychic Development Exercises

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

While meditation and things like that are probably the very best psychic development exercises, there are many other things that you can try when attempting to develop your psychic powers.

I have always been an advocate of improving the mind and the spirit by improving the body, so I’ve been interested in things like Yoga and the martial arts as good methods of improving psychic ability. In addition to the obvious benefits of working out your body and mind, these disciplines often involve some aspects of meditation and even have their own psychic development exercises built in to the curriculum (in fact, not too long ago, I posted in my newsletter about chi and it’s application in psychic development).

In addition to this, you can also try listening to particularly emotive music. This in particular has allowed me to see more than I think I would have normally.

Go out and explore nature on a quiet afternoon walk through a forest preserve or some other place like that. There are many secrets hidden in nature that might reveal themselves to someone looking for answers. I’ve had a few students comment to me that they’ve used the reflective surface of lakes as divination tools, and collected stones to use for rune-tiles from their walks.

Peter Altuch posted a while back on hrshopperblog about how to use drawing as a psychic development exercise.

Are you seeing a trend here? Anything that you find peaceful can be used as a way to quiet the mind. Quieting the mind is, without a doubt, the most important psychic development exercise you can learn. Fortunately, there are many different ways to do that.

Want to know How to be Psychic?

Friday, August 1st, 2008

Learning how to be psychic is actually quite a simple process, though you’ll have to put in some effort to improve your powers to a significant level.

As I’ve posted a few times before, almost every psychic in the world considers every person in the world to have some psychic powers. The reason is simple: we all are people of the same species, and thus, we all have similar abilities. Certainly, even though some people can sing better than others, every person on the planet can sing. The same is true of psychic powers.

If you want to know how to be psychic, the first thing you need to do is to be cognizant of the fact that you’re having psychic premonitions every day. A psychic event is whenever you know something will happen without having some sort of facts or previous knowledge that it will happen.

That could be almost anything, but most commonly, it occurs when you create a psychic connection with your friends or your partner. There are times when you can simply look at a person and you can tell what they are thinking, or what happened. While certainly, you are reading in some context clues, there is a great deal that isn’t being communicated by body language which you can usually fill in. For instance, you may be able to tell that they are having a bad day from a person’s face, but if you know who or what caused that bad day to happen, you are using your psychic powers, often without even knowing that you had them.

So if you wanted to find out how to be psychic, sorry, you already are. If you want to know a little more about how to improve your psychic abilities, consider signing up for my newsletter and getting my beginner’s guide (all free!).

Free Online Psychic Advice? Is it real?

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

When one searches for free online psychic advice, one should be careful as there is always the chance to run into unscrupulous individuals. The Internet is a wonderful arena for the exchanging of ideas on virtually any subject, but it prudent to be careful of course. Just as you wouldn’t blindly accept the advice of a person that claimed to be psychic on the street randomly, you should get to know a free online psychic advice website before just plunging in and practicing.

Ask yourself first if it’s truly free. Like many sites, sometimes psychic ones promise free information or even online consultation, yet come with a sudden hidden fee before you can access all the features. Also, don’t assume that since something is free it’s worthless! It used to be true that in order to explore psychic powers one had to have the money to join groups that offered training. Or luck out and find a teacher willing to accept a student. But it also took quite a bit of time to actually progress and usually had degrees of rank, initiations, and occasionally a screening process. Now, however, from one’s home one can learn all they wish for no cost (like, oh, I don’t know, my free newsletter).

One benefit to a good free online psychic advice website is that it may offer a plethora of techniques and tips for the curious seeker to try. These sites may have forums and blogs neatly organized into a variety of different types of powers or may not, but the search would be well worth the read to learn about what is possible. And for the experienced psychonaut there may be completely new ideas to work with.

Another good feature of free online psychic advice websites is the community. Usually, through the forums and blogs, one can also find people sharing their personal experiences and ideas. This is helpful to the beginner because it helps introduce the idea of practicing one’s psychic powers from the viewpoint of an actual psychic as opposed to a psychologist trying to explain it somehow. These attempts at explanation tend to have the reverse effect, discouraging people with psychological terminology, or doubt that what they are experiencing is real. A good website may even offer study groups or help form them so that feedback and encouragement is available.

And of course there is the fact that as you share your experiences in the company of like minded individuals, you may also inspire and mentor others. We are all psychic and the more people that develop this fantastic gift, the better the chance that psychic powers will return to more mainstream use. And the more free online psychic advice websites to share this previously hidden information.

Cultivating Psychic Power

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

When one speaks of cultivating psychic power, they speak of increasing the internal responses which can be generated by your “inner psychic”, or your soul, if you will. This psychic power is a latent ability that everyone has, but few bother to explore or nurture. Hopefully, through reading this blog, you’ve come to understand some of the many methods of expanding and exploring your psychic ability.

One area where I have been lacking as a teacher, however, is in explaining why you would want to do this. After all, sometimes you’d rather not know what’s happening! Predicting plane crashes, or the end of the world, and being “haunted” by visions has driven many psychics to insanity! There are some benefits to this art and science, however:

When you learn to use psychic power, you are making yourself a more complete human being. Psychic power flows from your soul, and being more in touch with the “real you” is, of course, a very fulfilling and beneficial experience.

Learning to unleash your psychic power can help you live a better life. If you knew the things you could be doing tomorrow to help yourself, or your friends and family members live a better life, and you knew, deep down, 100% that they would work, then you’d do it, right? Of course. Encouraging your psychic powers can help you find those missing links and do something about it, with an incredibly high success rate.

Understanding psychic power can help you gain control over your life. If you’re hanging out with the wrong people, or if you’re working a job that will eventually harm you, you can find out now and change it! In addition, you can use the psychic power enhancement exercises in a way that will help you organize your life better. Meditation, one of the staple exercises, has been shown to decrease your level of stress and increase your brain capacity. Now, not only are you improving psychic power, you are also improving your mind and body at the same time!

Psychic Powers for Beginners

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Psychic powers are difficult to develop, especially when you are a beginner. It will take some work before you will be able to give an accurate psychic reading, or before you can bet the bankroll on a particular premonition, but by learning and experimenting with some simple psychic powers for beginners, you can greatly increase your ability quickly.

The most common psychic ability is the divination, that is, interpreting objects or symbols in regards to the lives of yourself and other people.  Every ancient culture around the world has some form of divination rite or tool that was passed down through the ages, and almost all of them are still in use today, from the I Ching of China to the Runes of ancient Viking cultures, or the Tarot, which was widely used all throughout Europe and western Asia.

The tarot is the most commonly used because almost everyone has seen or heard about it, and the cards are easy to find, even in your local bookstore or on Amazon.com.  A pack should cost you about $10.  For a good guide on how to learn the tarot, I would recommend using “Easy Tarot Readings” over any book I’ve ever read in print (and trust me, I’ve read a whole lot…not many of them are very good).  I thought “Easy Tarot Readings” was able to put the cards into perspective and is a great guide for a beginner to use.

You might think that this skill is not exactly “psychic” since you’re essentially using the cards to determine the meanings, but there is definitely some aspect of paranormal activity about the choice of cards and your interpretation of them.

For example, how did you know when to stop shuffling the deck?  Most beginners will say that they just decided to stop, while more advanced readers will “know” when it is time.   How did you interpret that the “death” card meant that you should stop working so hard at one particular venture?  It could have meant that the inquirer should stop seeing their girlfriend, or that someone was likely to be injured, or even literally going to die.

There is a great deal of flexibility in the cards, as there is with every divination system which can be explored.  By practicing, and by using them often, you will begin to “know” certain things about the cards and the readings that may not have initially been clear to you.  This is your psychic power working and developing!

Beginners should not necessarily jump right in to learning one of the more difficult psychic skills like Clairvoyance or telekinesis, nor should they be discouraged by false readings.  When starting out, your psychic powers for beginners are not developed enough for you to tell the difference between a true reading and a false reading, and your intuition has not been very well developed at the time.

I have an e-newsletter and a beginners guide, which I’m currently offering for free to anyone interested in learning some basic exercises to develop psychic powers for beginners.  If you are interested in this, sign up here, and remember to order that book on the tarot and a pack of cards as soon as possible so that you can get started.  If you never start, you’ll never realize the amount of power you can have by experimenting with your psychic powers for beginners.
