hi
being an empath and knowing what true love is this is not a problem- if you love yourself then you see the pain of others and can help them calmly and you truly truly truly understand it is all fear based- all negative emo's are derivative of fear and when you can sense the problem get past the sharade of the leaves of emotions and see the trunk of the person and the trunk of the problem there is no problem and you bring a sense of peace and serenity to people its a beautiful loving thing to be able to do but you have to love yourself and have a greater sense of understanding of people and how they work inside to do it- i do it daily - i have never been over stimulated by others because i heal them, not drain them or feel drained- rather its overbearing love afterwords really. I love it. yes the true hard part is when its a stranger and you cant talk to them for whatever reason . I mean its a little hard to talk to someone just walking by - i mean how weird would it be if a stranger stopped you in walmart by grabbing you and said- Hey whats up i know your cold right now cuz your relationship is having a problem lol other than that will true social skills you CAN always help the one you talk to though
love, peace and equanimity to everyone's heart that reads this
thank you

Whatever are you talking about? (I'm practicing assertiveness, sorry if it comes across harsh, but it is my honest reaction). As someone who readily picks up on others' emotions and is often labeled a "psychic sponge", I see little "wonderful" about this "gift". People who are stressing out often don't want to be "discovered" and are not receptive to a pep talk. Far from making the workplace "smoother and more enjoyable", it tends to leave the helper, the empath, upset and drained and sometimes the target of the anger of that person. Sorry, I just don't see the value of living with this kind of sensitivity. I do agree that using this talent to help find victims after a disaster is a wonderful contribution, but other than that? Not much - except keeping a low profile to avoid sucking up negative energies. Show me where I'm wrong here - I'd love a brighter perspective.
