Revelations about Psychic Counselor Jobs

Psychic counselor jobs are rewarding career options for the entrepreneurs among you. Working as a psychic counselor is a great way to help others, and it has the potential to provide you with a steady income if your business takes off.

However, there are other psychic counselor jobs which are not so good.  While I’m not so naive as to think that there are no fraudulent companies who hire fake psychics to give advice, I found this particular email to be disgusting behavior on the part of the hiring company.

Names, including the hiring company, have been left off to preserve anonymity.

A reader recently wrote in with her experience working for a psychic phone company.

I took a job working for a phone psychic company, and when I was hired, they did not ask me anything about my psychic powers. They wanted no demonstration of my abilities, and they gave me a script which I was to read to each client before doing a reading. I was highly encouraged during training to speak slowly, to answer questions vaguely, and to encourage every caller to call back multiple times for more detailed readings. Business is business, but this was outrageous!

While a business is a business, their insistence in following “the rules” of business as opposed to serious psychic readings is abhorrent.

This little revelation about psychic counselor jobs offered by major companies is a clear indication that you should always do your research before hiring any psychic readers, and apparently, the warning holds true even when searching for a psychic counselor job.

Jobs for Psychic Readers

It is natural for someone to ask what kinds of jobs are available for psychic readers. Most people get involved with learning how to awaken psychic powers because they are interested in self-improvement, obviously, but also as a potential career option. Just like doctors and nurses, their skills are an asset, but they want and need to help people with their abilities.

Psychics are the same way. While it is nice to have these abilities for your own use, you can help hundreds, if not thousands of people over the course of your lifetime if you help others with your psychic abilities.

So what kinds of jobs for psychic readers can you search for? There are obvious things, such as opening your own psychic reading business, offering internet readings and things like that, but have you considered the other options?

Whenever you try to get a job for psychic readers, you need to consider that it can be difficult to find customers and clients, and that has to weigh in to your decision. A failed business is not a business.

Many areas will allow you to set up a temporary shop at local festivals. Check with your municipality, but think of all the potential customers who visit festivals looking for some entertainment. Helping them by offering them real life advice, while still providing them the entertainment they are searching for, is a great way to make some extra cash on weekends.

In addition to that, you can consider applying for a job as a psychic reader at the local Renaissance Fair if one is in your area. This is another job which can be very lucrative for a few days, and where you have a number of customers walking around searching for services just like you’re providing.

There are also potential jobs for psychic readers everywhere in your daily life. Anytime you work with the public and hold conversations with them, you have the ability to influence the way that they feel. Jobs like psychiatry, cab driving, and bartending might not be the most glamorous positions for psychics to take, but they will allow you to use your abilities for the good of others.

When should you become a Professional Psychic Reader?

A question which is asked often by beginners who achieve an excellent ability to develop their psyhic abilities is “when should I take the next steps to becoming a professional reader?”

There is a lot of money to be made, and a lot of people whom you can help, by becoming a psychic reader, but I would caution you against charging for your services too soon. Remember that even one or two mess ups could lead your clients in a completely wrong direction, and they could spell doom for your proposed business.

However, it must be mentioned that you can do a lot of good for others by sharing your talents.

I would recommend practicing for a year, at the very least, before offering your services to the public at large. This may seem like a very long time, but remember that psychologists and doctors, two other professions which give advice to others, require over 6 years of schooling after high school before they are even offered an internship position where they can help others directly.

When you feel like your abilities are developing well, then a good first step to becoming a professional psychic reader is to offer free readings to your friends and family members once or twice a month and asking for feedback. This will give you more practice in dealing with clients, and teach you more about how to word your predictions in such a way as to help them understand what you see without distressing them (trust me, this is a skill which a lot of readers, amateur and professional,  desperately need to work on).
